Version history
Ages of Conflict Updates: Version History from v1.0 to v4.5.2
The newest update is v4.5.2, posted October 31, 2026 ("Lore Panel & Scenario Groups"). It adds a free-text lore panel for each nation, folders for custom scenarios and a new Asia 1936 scenario. Below is a dated digest of the developer's public devlog, newest year first. Dates are the post dates shown on itch.io; each line ends with a link to the original post, which has the full changelog. The posts themselves are the authority if a line here ever differs. We have not tested the full version ourselves; details below come from the developer's devlog and store pages.
How to read this digest
- The devlog lists 90 posts, from v1.0 on 2022-08-21 to v4.5.2 on 2026-10-31. This page keeps the entries that add or change something a player would notice, and skips pure bug-fix posts unless they carry a rule change.
- The itch.io page labels the free download build v1.4.3 (22 MB, Windows and Linux). Whether the browser version is the same version is not confirmed. The developer did not itemise what v1.4.3 contains, so this page does not mark individual entries as "in the demo". Posts from v2.0.6 on are updates for the full version; the v2.0.6 and v2.1.0 posts say so in their first lines. Pricing and platforms are on Is Ages of Conflict free?, and the practical differences are in Browser demo vs full version.
- Steam and the phone stores carry the same version numbers on slightly different dates. For v4.5.2, Steam's patch notes are dated October 29, 2026, the itch.io post October 31, and Google Play shows "Updated on Oct 31, 2026"; on November 1 the App Store still listed 4.5.1. See Ages of Conflict on mobile.

Version labels differ between sources
The App Store's own changelog attaches the "broke" threshold change to a build it calls 4.3.3 (dated 11/24/2025), while the itch post carrying the same text is titled v4.3.2. This page uses the itch post label and date. Steam's own v4.3.3 post (2025-11-25) is a separate update that the developer describes as mainly for the mobile version. Store dates for the same version are also a day or a few days away from the itch dates.
Gaps in this digest
Which of these changes exist in the free browser demo is not stated by the developer. This digest is compiled from published posts and was not hands-on tested: the full version was not bought, and neither demo nor mobile apps were played for it. Steam's news feed carries the same patch notes under its own dates, usually a day earlier or later; we compared post titles and dates, not every line.
